I am an occupational therapist serving children in an inner-city school. My caseload has a variety of diagnoses, with the most common issue I see being sensory processing. Most of my children have difficulty focusing in class, getting their work done on time, and sitting still. They find it very difficult to "tune out" visual and auditory distractions.
