I work in an alternative high school. In California, we call it continuation high school. We are an alternative to the regular comprehensive high school. Let's face it! Not everyone succeeds at traditional high school.
Our students succeed because we make them accountable for their credits every three weeks. Students are enrolled in classes that are needed and that are appropriate for their learning needs.
We are a small school in a big city. Our class size is twenty to one. Unfortunately, due to the financial hardship hat is imposed on our families, we do not have a PTA nor a PTO. 100% of our students receive financial aid.
Everyone gets a free lunch. Our students are poor or live below the poverty line. My students have amazing dreams! Please help us fulfill them, one grant at a time.
