I teach Sixth Grade Language and Literature (L&L) at a public "Challenge School" in Annapolis, Maryland. I teach two sections of Special Education (co-taught) L&L, and two sections of advanced advanced L&L. Nearly 30% of my students are English Language Learners and over half of the school population receives free and reduced lunches. Despite adversities like poverty, learning disabilities, and language barriers, my students stride for excellence in all they do. They are an inspiration to anyone who has the opportunity to meet them.
School is a safe haven for many of my kids and it is my mission to provide the supports they need to succeed, but as they say, "it takes a village."
Please consider supporting my projects, which in turn support my students and their success and well being in school.
