We are a self-contained 9th-12th grade classroom for Special Education students in a high school setting. My students have little interaction with their peers in a typical classroom. Some deliver papers in the mornings and some sell salads at lunch. Some attend electives including Dance, Drama, Art, and Band and a few attend supported academic classes throughout the day.
My students learn through interaction, observation, and experience. They require multi-sensory items and real life experience to aid in processing all new information.
