These students are fourth graders, and they are the top readers in their class. In order for them to continue to grow in their reading potential, we formed this book club to discuss books that challenge them. They are precocious and love the challenge of reading the material in addition to their everyday class work that is still required of them. We meet twice a week, and our supply of challenging books is dwindling. They go to a smaller school with a population of about 200 students. Resources are scarce, so this will help tremendously.
