I teach twenty-five African-American high school students with disabilities enrolled in self-contained and inclusion classes. The disabilities are specific learning disabled, mildly intellectually disabled, behavior disorder, and moderately intellectually disabled. The students attend a public Title-1 high school located in an inner city neighbor.
