The students will receive an opportunity to complete research lab activities. The students will create a solution to a problem and design an lab activity to solve the problem. The students will collect data and analyze that data . The students will present their findings to the class. The students have little experience with dissecting and chemistry type activities. The equipment will also get used during in class activities from the curriculum.
Also, during this time the students will sharpen their modeling skills. The students will make initial models of their suggested solution to the problem. Then the students will make the necessary corrections during the research. The students will submit their final model during their presentations.
