I have the opportunity to teach singing to 180 wonderful students in grades 6-8. They are funny, interesting, intelligent, and LOVE to sing! North Polk is a small school district on the very north edge of the Des Moines Metro. Our school has grown from around 40 kids per grade level to more than 120 per grade level in the span of around 15 year. This is a wonderful thing for us! Except...it makes funding difficult. In just the last year the choir program has grown from 80 students to 180. We use a classroom that was designed when we were much smaller and we have to work hard to find enough chairs and supplies for my students. We have a tremendously supportive administration that works hard to get us what we need...but there is only so much money. Any help that you could give us would be greatly appreciated!
