To meet the needs of my diverse group of students, I work with them in small groups. When not with me students work online to improve their English skills. Unfortunately, I only have three computers. My goal is to eventually have a one-to-one technology ratio so that each student has at all times access to online learning and research.
This is particularly important for my immigrant and low-income students, many of whom do not have internet access in their homes. Giving them daily access to tablets will bridge the digital divide and open up new worlds of learning for them.
