Hello! Our names are Reynolds and Younkers. We teach 9th and 10th grade co-taught literature classes in an all boys school, this means there is a regular and special education teacher in a class where magic happens everyday! We engage with literature through fun classroom antics and Real Rap: politically and socially conscious Hip-Hop inspired talk that focus on the life of young people and their communities. Our teaching styles are simple. Relationships are king and this job is only ever about the students.
The statistics are consistent: Young male readers lag behind, however, we believe we can change that by providing students with the right opportunities and appropriate materials in a safe, engaging and positive environment.

About my class
