My classes are made up of seventh grade Language Arts students. We come from a community that is poverty stricken due to the loss of major factories within the main city. It is a rural community therefore agriculture is big amongst our students, but many of our students are also looking to grow academically with the hopes of going on to college.
Seventh graders are interesting no matter where they go to school, but we find that our seventh graders are unique in that they really do try to reach out to one another and help those in need when they see that one of their own is down and out. Our community is very good about giving unto others and is always trying to be active in the community when an opportunity arises - this is a great bunch of kids!
