I teach in a high poverty neighborhood located in Richmond, California. We may have concrete gardens but my students bring sunshine to the first grade everyday. We have a strong community that has more heart than money. I don't want to deny my students an enriching, and stimulating education because of a lack of funding.
ALL students deserve access to the BEST education regardless of their socioeconomic status. The majority of my students are struggling readers that are worthy of materials that will help them have access to a world of knowledge. I need help funding the materials necessary to help grow these scholars!
