We are requesting a carpet. Because our classroom has 13 English language learners, some brand new to the country, we need a space where all students can listen, talk, and share their ideas. This carpet will provide every student with a space where they can participate and engage with the lessons. Often we turn and talk to our partners so we can get ready to participate and model strong voices. With a carpet where all 25 students have a space, we can maximize our partner time and guided lessons.
Please consider donating to help our classroom have a space for everyone! We will use it for our morning meeting where we greet each other and play a fun getting to know you or number sense game. We will use it for math time while we share ways to count coins. We will use it for reading and writing partnerships to discuss characters, books, and our stories. Thank you for helping our class!
