My students are some of my favorite people I see every day. Knowing their personalities, struggles and strengths gives me great insight to meet their needs in a learning environment. These students are smart, hard working, and fun. However, these students come from low income families where no English is spoken at home, putting them at a disadvantage. The English spoken at school is the only time they are able to practice their new language. My school is one of the largest in our city with a 45% ESL population.
