I am an occupational therapist who travels to multiple schools each week. I help to support students in self-contained special education classrooms as well as students in general education. In addition to the students on my caseload, I am also frequently asked by teachers to help support children who are not yet identified as having a disability. These students frequently have difficulty with fine motor skill and motor coordination, and have difficulty keeping up with their classmates. Many students in today's classrooms have difficulty regulating their activity level due to increased academic demands and a decrease in school based movement activities.
