For the past 20+ years I have been teaching in the same school, which is also the same school from the neighborhood that I grew up in. Our classroom culture focuses on building a sense of community, empathy, and a growth mindset. My students have to overcome more obstacles than most, and I am honored that they allow me to call myself their teacher.
