My students use an inquiry based approach in discovering the world through science. I teach 7th grade students science. Throughout the day, I teach students within a large spectrum of abilities. I teach students that excel in academics as well as students with various learning disabilities, ADHD, emotional impairments, and a variety potential academic obstacles. I teach in a rural environment where all students receive free breakfast and lunch. Regardless of the obstacles my students face, they are encouraged to participate in a hands-on approach to their leaning. I believe all students can learn. It is up to me to figure how that can happen for each student.
