I teach in a school built over 6 decades ago and the school shows it's age. The students come from a lower socioeconomic status and many of the students and their families struggle to have their basic needs met. Many of the students come to school without basic school supplies. I have an awesome class who is motivated, but I do not want their inability to afford supplies to hinder their learning. As a teacher, it is my job to make learning fun and engaging.
