I teach in an amazing classroom where regular and special education students work cooperatively. In my classroom, it's hard to tell what students struggle because each child is incredibly caring and compassionate. Each one lifts each other up and they all make a tremendous amount of progress.
Our school building qualifies for 100% free and reduced lunch. Most students eat both breakfast and lunch at school and some stay for an after school program where a hot dinner is served. "My kids" deserve to have new materials and resources...ones that catch their attention and are interesting to them.
Unfortunately due to the state of the economy, materials like Storyworks, Scholastic News and Common Core math and reading materials are not able to be funded by our school budget.
