My students are PreK ages 4-5. We have a schedule that requires most activities take place on the classroom carpet. They enjoy morning time circle, story time, the counting game and music and movement; all of which requires a carpeted area. Our curriculum states, that students are to learn through play. These activities have help the students become confident, outgoing, willing to participate. They are no longer afraid to speak up and answer questions without the fear of being right or wrong.
