Our school is a Title One school in an urban community. Most of my students receive free breakfast and free/reduced lunch. In my classroom, most of my students have unemployed parents who live day to day trying to make ends meet. Our school is the one place they can be certain of and can be guaranteed a hot meal and unconditional love. We try hard to provide them with not only an education but a feeling of belonging and safety.
