Help! The benefits of reading are unquestionable; in so many words reading makes you smarter. Some things that are unfortunately questionable to my high-needs students are the budget, time, and accessibility that our students get to libraries and books. The number of students each year that "don't see the point in reading" seems to be growing. If students could bring home a book that hooks their attention, it could change their whole outlook on reading, sending them on a completely different trajectory. I have compiled a list of books my students are interested in and need funding to buy them.
