Ms. Chase, Ms. Correia, Ms. Abreu and our new hire are looking to provide our special education students support in their classrooms by using iPads for daily lessons, engaging activities, data collection and so much more!
The students we work with have a variety of disabilities and we focus each and every day on their needs and interests. Our school is 100% free and reduced lunch. The special education students in our school learn in different ways than other students and each special education teacher will use their iPad daily when working with and teaching the students. There are many online resources made specifically for students with disabilities and we want to be able to use them! We support our students in the ELA and math classes, math resource pull out, small group reading pull out and social skills lessons. Each of our students has an IEP (individual education plan) and the iPad will allow each of us 4 special education teachers to quickly differentiate and meet the needs of all of our students in grades kindergarten through 5th grade.
Please help us better meet the needs of our students and introduce them to a whole online world of learning to help further their education.
