Educators at Maple Elementary School are empowering a diverse student population for lifelong success, both in and out of the classroom. Staff at Maple Elementary School are eager to come to school and go above and beyond for their students. Students come to school with smiles on their faces ready to learn. This is my third year as a resource intervention teacher in a school where 87% of the students are economically needy and over 60% of students come from homes where English is not the primary language spoken. Because of the diverse backgrounds of students, it is essential to provide differentiated instruction for students and really tailor my instruction to meet their needs. I will be working with the lowest students in kindergarten through sixth grade. My goal is to help students achieve grade level proficiency in reading, as well as to develop a lifelong love of learning.
