My students are from a small title one high school in California's Central Valley. Sixty percent of our students qualify for free/reduced lunch. Our school began an Advanced Placement program a few years ago and this year we are expanding the AP program to include AP Statistics.
There are students at my school who are working hard to be ready for college. These students know that they may not have the financial means to attend a university, but are striving towards that goal. The ability to take an AP class and earn college credits in high school means the world to them.
