Our class is a fifth grade integrated class in a high poverty area of NYC. There are 27 students, consisting of special education, general education and English language learners. These children are trying their hardest to be successful, but do not always have the resources available to do so. Many of our students go home to houses without Internet and parents who do not speak English, so are unable to help with homework. Many must do as much work in school as possible, because there is no one at home to help.
