My school is in the Central Valley of California. It is a school of choice, consisting of two magnets (a math science magnet and a visual performing arts magnet - I teach in the visual performing arts magnet). My students are drawn from all corners of the community. They are as diverse as the community they call home. They bring a variety of different languages and cultural heritages into my classroom. I like to say my students encourage each other, while they like to challenge themselves. My Kindergartners are curious, creative, and love to learn by doing. My students love coming to school, and they enjoy being together. Their humor, and imaginations and desire to learn make each and every day with them filled with possibility and hope.
