Welcome to Mrs. Lombardo's 6th Grade Class! You know you are here because you can hear the laughter, smell the burning of minds thinking hard outside their comfort zone and all among safe organized chaos! My students are highly curious, CHATTY, and energetic, but also extremely vulnerable. Our district is in a high-poverty area and many students have had life experiences beyond that of the average 11 year old. I challenge our students to become lifelong learners, think for themselves, take responsibility and make a change! I repeatedly emphasize to students that "you are responsible for your own success!" In our classroom, our focus is to grow as learners and human beings and to take control of our futures.
