67% of our students are on free or reduced lunches. 42.6% are Hispanic, 45.5% are White, and 3.6% are Black. Two years ago our Title 1 Funding was taken away from us. We lost many of our specialists who worked with students who have special needs. Our parents try hard to support our fund raisers, but their lives are hard, and they just have enough to feed their children, let alone fund their school! In order for our students to succeed in the 21st century it is imperative that modern technology be infused into our curriculum. Our children have the right to learn how to use technology, and school may be the only place they will have the opportunity.
