Samsung Galaxy Tablets will provide instruction which uses visual aids to help low-income students improve math, reading and comprehension of core subjects.
The Learning with Technology project will provide low-income students access to mobile devices equipped with wireless internet at school.
Students will be able to access web-based subscriptions like IXL math, Sumdog, Zearn, XtraMath and Frontrowed, to participate in benchmark assessments which measure student growth and complete instructional activities assigned by teachers.
The goal of this project is to engage low-income students in a creative and collaborative environment by increasing access to technology and to develop and enrich technology skills, as defined by the National Educational Technology Standards for Students.
