These books will continue to enhance the reading instruction my students are receiving. Students will read historical books in small groups. While reading the books they will research and learn actual facts about this time period in history. Different Jamboard activities and group work activities will be used as they corroborate together to understand the novels. With these books, students will learn about historical events in a fun way. They will learn great reading skills as they look for vocabulary words they don't know, write questions they have, and look for connections to their world. Small groups discussions will help motivate them to continue reading. Students will be excited to read and will learn to think beyond what is normally expected.
