I am currently a fifth grade literacy teacher at a school in North Carolina. My students come to school each day motivated to learn. They enjoy listening to and participating in interactive read-alouds. They also enjoy participating in literature circles in which they read a selection with their peers, discuss their favorite parts, and make connections to the characters. The personality of my students is very lively. My students enjoy moving around and participating in fun activities. The students in my class work extremely well together. Many of them know each other from the community in which they live. They enjoy playing sports and taking nature walks for recess.
