Our school is in North Phoenix Arizona. Our kids are some of the best in the valley. The students in my classes are hard working good kids who need something different to make science and physics more applicable to them. Our school is a public high school with little technology for underclassman. My classes are freshman physics students who are more often than not taking their first real science class when they get me as a teacher. A lot of them are scared at taking physics as freshman and take time to warm up to the idea that it's not so scary. Our students need STEM type projects that will keep them off the cell phones and working on something that is applicable, doable, and achievable. I believe this project does just that.
