My students are transient, low-income English Language Learners, but they burst through the door every morning with an enthusiastic greeting and grin! The students I work with are mostly first-generation Americans. There is an undeniable achievement gap between our students and those in other schools and counties. I need to provide stimulating activities to help them catch up and reach end-of-year goals.
