My classroom of second graders is a diverse group of students from a variety of backgrounds. Their schemas are so different based on their life experiences. When they are given the opportunity to perform, all of these walls seem to disappear, and they work well together to collaborate on projects. They are very eager to learn new concepts, but need a variety of ways to show what they have learned to accommodate their learning styles. What could be more fun than making a movie trailer or creating a professional presentation using iPad apps to teach others what they have learned?
