My students are five and six-year-old kindergarten students with autism. All of my students are non-verbal. They attend an off-site school that is low income in Brooklyn. My students come from low-income households and have few resources. These students have to deal with so many hardships at such young ages, but my students have such a gleam in their eyes when they walk into school. They are ready and excited to learn. To maximize and facilitate their learning our classroom needs materials that allow them to use their minds to their fullest potential.
