My students are a diverse group of children from a variety of backgrounds in a high poverty neighborhood. They are excited learners who speak several different languages between them!
Group projects are often high on their list of ways to learn about a topic and also teach others. This group of students supports each other with reciprocal learning and game playing. In general, their family culture does not allow them to get out and experience much outside of their own neighborhood.
Our school is committed to helping students bridge the language, culture and experience gap. What better way to encourage learning, but through collaboration!
