My students range from 3 to 5 years old and attend a preschool classroom in a public elementary school. It is an integrated setting in which approximately half of the students are receiving special education services and the other half are 'peer partners.' There are two 2 1/2 hour sessions each day, with about 15 students per session. They learn social-emotional skills, as well as academics such as math and phonological awareness. My roughly 30 students are from an inner-city district in Massachusetts and include many English language learners, special education students, and students living in poverty.
