My students often come from low-income families. My students often do not come into my classroom with a clear understanding of technology can be used for educational purposes. To make the students more active in their learning, I believe that bringing technology into the classroom can help replace worksheets, and the traditional way students are used to learning. At this age, it is crucial to teach them how to use technology effectively. By bringing in two tablets, two iPod touches, and child-friendly headphones, I can introduce my young students to technology they may never see otherwise. I can expand the way they see and use technology while they learn in my classroom. It is my responsibility as a kindergarten teacher to encourage them to love learning. I am trying to create a hands-on exciting environment where my students can be accountable for their own learning through the use of technology.
