My students are sixth graders at an inner-city school in Upstate, New York. Many of my students come from a low-economic background and receive free/reduced price lunch. As a result, they often lack the necessary supplies
to perform in school.
My students are hard workers so when they have an assignment that requires art work, they often rely on classroom supplies to complete the assignment because they do not have crayons, markers, glue sticks, etc. at home.
My students face many obstacles on a daily basis but they work hard to succeed.
