The projects that are aligned with the usage of this printer are based on ELA RL.2.5, R.L.2.9, R.I.2.1, W.2.1, W.2.2 and W.2.3 (Narrative, Informational and Writing Standards). Students will use 1-1 technology to research and write literature or informational responses or reports/projects independently. Having this printer will also help teachers create paper packets for students that have been excluded from school after being exposed to a positive COVID-19 case or who have tested positive themselves.
They will have the opportunity to print and present to their classmates and families their written responses based on the research they have done. This also gives them a chance to develop confidence in talking in front of an audience.
Most students don't have computers or printers at home so this is an additional tool that will motivate and engage them to try their best and work their hardest.
