The students in my room are warm, lively, and most of all energetic learners. I have taught most of these students since 3rd grade. We have built a beautiful community over these 2 years. Students in my class are compassionate, musical, creative, and activists. We particip*ate in collaborative work every day. On Fridays we do art and I teach one hour of keyboarding (piano) class. We also practice meditation and mindfulness activities on a daily basis to help reduce stress, and increase metacognition and self-esteem.
My students constantly amaze me with their deep questioning and critical thinking, as well as their creativity. They inspire me to do more for them, so that I can cultivate each child's ultimate talents and gifts.
