By purchasing the following games, such as Mastering Phonics, Fishing for Sight Words, and Pop Match Beginning Phonics Games, my students will have the decoding tools to be at grade level for reading. Most of my students struggle with identifying sight words and blending sounds. Before a student can graduate to the Accelerated Reading Program, they must be able to read the first 100 sight words.
Giving low-income students the tools to increase their decoding and fluency skills will transform our classroom library into a place of wonder and excitement.
By incorporating phonics games into my literacy program, students will have more opportunities to increase their decoding skills and graduate multiple levels in our reading program.
