The students at our school are truly international. Though we live in a small city in a mostly-white state, over 30% of our population is made up of English language learners from all over the world, most of them war refugees. In the overall population, over 50% of students live in poverty and receive free or reduced lunch. Still, our school pulses with excitement and creativity, as expressed through our school open mics, dramatic performances, and cultural festivals. This is school that is ready to OFFICIALLY become an international one!
