Most of my students come from a lower socio-economic background. They are fluent in their home language of Spanish, but here in our bi-lingual program they are learning academic Spanish as well as English. Our school is Title I and our classroom budgets have suffered over the last few years as the economy has taken a downturn. Despite our challenges and many different backgrounds, our students work diligently to master the many concepts here at school and we have a great time working together.
