At our city school in Maryland, my students are the youngest in the building. Sixth grade is a great age, and I believe is really where students begin to discover themselves, express their interests, and become young adults among a sea of older students. They are curious, courageous, and hopeful for their futures, entrusting me as their teacher to provide for them my best efforts everyday that we grow and learn together. My students are like any other students, and therefore deserve my hardest work, my sincerest efforts, and the best education all students deserves. They should not be denied resources, access to the world, or a quality education based off of the city they live in and the school they attend. They are driven, determined, and my own personal inspiration and source of energy.
