A subscription to Scholastic News Magazine will give every student in third grade an opportunity to read nonfiction/informational text across the subject areas.
The articles are current and can motivate the most reluctant reader.
Through the highly engaging articles, students will be able to read and comprehend a variety of informational text, think critically, and identify key ideas and details.
Given the diverse needs of our students, teachers can choose to use the digital and/or print version of Scholastic News to differentiate learning groups. To strengthen the home-school connection, students can share their magazine with family members. I truly appreciate your support to bring these magazines to our students.
