Having different style chairs and seating options is how adults work in offices and homes to be comfortable and effective. Why not our kids? Providing flexible seating options to my fourth graders will help them improve our classroom community as they will be more comfortable.
They will be able to focus better, have choices, and have fun while communicating and collaborating with their peers. These seating options will allow us to move around, work together and develop options of choice within our class. Options include, crate chairs, stools, bungee chairs, bouncy bands, and balance balls. Don't you like to have options?
