My students are four and five year old's entering school for the first time. Our school is a title I school that is full of bright young children eager to learn. For many it will be the first time introduced to manipulatives that will encourage them to learn math concepts by physical touch. Even though many of them come from poor economic homes, I have found that those type of students can sometimes be more eager to learn.
