My students attend school in a district with a very high rate of free and reduced lunch. We also have many ELL students. The area the school is located in was greatly altered by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. And, even though Hurricane Katrina was 8 years ago, the community's economy is still trying to bounce back from it.
